The real fact: The Federal Reserve's headquarters renovation did go over budget, and Powell did testify about it before Congress. Both true — and that's exactly what made it a usable hook. The lie: That Jeanine Pirro's grand jury subpoena was about protecting taxpayers from wasteful spending — when the Fed is not funded by taxpayers, when Trump's own first-term appointees drove up the very costs Pirro cited, and when Powell himself identified the real motive on the record as political pressure to cut interest rates. The true part was the anchor. The rest was the trap.
💥 The Iran War Lies: Every Shifting Justification — and the Real One
The real facts: Iran has a ballistic missile program. Iran had a nuclear development program. Iran ran a marginal influence operation in the 2020 election. All true — and all used as anchors. The lies: That these constituted an imminent threat requiring immediate war without a congressional vote or public evidence. Trump's own Pentagon told Congress in private there was no intelligence Iran planned to strike first. The stated goals shifted daily — nuclear threat, regime change, 47-year war, election interference — sometimes contradicting each other within hours. And from the very first post after the bombs fell, Trump tied the war to a plan to use national security powers to control the 2026 midterm elections.
🗳 The Election Fraud Conspiracy: Built from Scratch, on Purpose
The real facts: Isolated voter fraud cases exist and have been prosecuted. Some ineligible people have voted, usually by mistake. Voter rolls contain names of deceased people. All true — and all used as anchors. The lies: That fraud is widespread, decides elections, and requires sweeping new restrictions. Every investigation — including the Heritage Foundation's own database — finds fraud rates below 0.0001%. The SAVE America Act, the supposed solution, requires documents half of Americans don't have and would disenfranchise tens of millions of eligible voters while doing almost nothing about the microscopic problem it claims to fix. Mail-in voting — now framed as a Democratic scheme — was invented by Abraham Lincoln and championed by Republicans for 30 years.

Every specific claim was debunked. The conspiracy was built by a man who spent two months at the State Department, amplified by Elon Musk to 216 million followers, and repeated by Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham — who had both spent a decade praising the agency they helped destroy. The Lancet projects up to 14 million deaths by 2030. A ten-year-old boy named Peter is already dead.
